What inspired you to write SCAVENGER HUNT?

The secret eighth floor at Main Justice and post-9/11 environment in Washington, D.C..

Is it true that there is a real-life character in SCAVENGER HUNT?

Yes, Judge, the Great Dane. Fun Fact, Judge was almost an extra in Frances Ford Coppola’s movie rendition of The Rainmaker, starring Matt Damon.

Like Blake, you lived on Capitol Hill. What was it like living next to the U.S Capitol after 9/11?

Tense. Despite threats from al Qaeda, the primary concern in D.C. at that time was the D.C. sniper. I remember tiptoeing outside with Judge to get the newspaper each morning.
